BILLING ERROR

Sir,

On 25-01, I have purchased different items worth of Rs. 5500/- in 3 bills from BIGBAZAAR at Kharvel Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. But unfortunately, in one bill No. T4/3946 Dt. 25.01. in utensils buy 3 get 1 items, I have purchased 6 items each in 3 separate category to get 2 items free in each category. But due to error in billing, an amount of Rs. 108/- has been paid by me in excess and the bill-clerk is aware of the fact as well as I have also pointed out the same to the bill-clerk. The bill-clerk give me a chit of calculation of amount of Rs. 108/- code wise excess in the bill and to be refunded to me and also get the bill countersigned. The bill-clerk told me that to come another day after the sale so that he will get time to refund the amount.

On 05-02 I went to your Customer care stall at BB, the Supervisor take his own time to verify the bill with your billing system at cc cell. The told me that only Rs.48/- is excess not Rs. 108/- as has been calculated by the bill-clerk. The supervisor is also assured me that please come another day, after 4-5 days that the matter could be resolved with the Bill-clerk. I have categorically told him that I am not coming to get Rs. 108/- but to aware you about the fact that you and your system is wrong and you have correctly or incorrectly have taken excess amount in the bill. And I am one of the some the customer, here to awake/caution you not to do such type of fraudulent in future.

On 10-02, again I went to your store and contacted the CC cell and they told me to go to 2nd floor to meet the Bill-clerk. When I met, the Bill-clerk again took me to ground floor cc cell and verified the matter whether I get Rs. 108/- or Rs. 48/-. Then the cc cell called one Mr. Kirron Kolay-05329, Asst. Dept. Mgr. Immediately, when Mr. Kolay came without verifying the matter told me that I have no amount to get refund. He told me that as I have purchased 3 category items I will get only lowest priced items freed, even if I purchased 6 pcs. in each category. Mr. Kolay further told me that if you have billed separately, 3 bills for 3 separate items, you would have given 2pcs. free in each bill. I told him that you are a manager, you should have manage to display such thing or instructed the bill- clerk or advise the customer to it separate bill. I have also asked how a customer who have purchased more ger less free and who purchased lees will get more free. I did not get the logic of your manager or the management you have.

Unfortunately, the attitude and the behavior of Mr. Kolay is not at all customer friendly or satisfactory, which should be recorded.

I think this type of fact is not less than a fraud, misleading the customer and is liable to be taken into consideration under the consumer protection act, 1986.

I think this type of affairs should not be occurring in future and I hope you will resolve this in a short span of time.
