Laundries have an nice way of absolving themselves, of damages to clothes. I gave brand new saree, simply for steam pressing, and the Laundry, Ever Ready Laundry at Breach Candy, Mumbai, gave it back, all packed, with large black blotches on it. When i showed it to the owner, Ashwin, he says he wasn't aware of the fault, and even wondered whether it was his fault at all!! How can a disclaimer in their receipt absolve them of damages that are due to total negligence?
