Refusal to pay for damaging spectacle frame

Hi,

I had given my spectacles for repair to Eagle Vision Opticals in Banaswadi Main Road, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Bangalore -33.

The spectacle frame needed to be straightened. He cited that the glass may crack if they went ahead with repairing the frame and advised me to change the glasses which shall allow the frame to be completely mended. But next day, when I was supposed to be delivered the same, he handed me a broken frame and refused to compensate for the same.

Also he has openly challenged me to approach the consumer forum citing that he has influences that shall allow him to get away with this incident.
