Waist size different than noted

I have purchased a jeans of size 36/34 of design no 511.

Got the length adjusted to my size of 41.5.

When I wore it, I was taken aback as the size of the waist seemed much more. When I got it checked it was 37.5 or say 38 to my surprise. Though the cos tag of 36/34 is still there.

Now I dont know what to do.

It cant be repaired also.

have I wasted my money. I dont know where to go.
