I purchased a pair of slippers in June. I wore them for the first time on Sunday 17th January they were impossible to wear as they were twisted and uncomfortable. I returned them to the Enniskillen branch of Marks and Spencer where I was told that although I had paid £12.00 I am only entitled to a £3 refund as they were reduced in the sale. When I asked to speak to the manageress she was rude and unhelpful and insulted me by saying there was no fault with the slippers, I must have a problem with my feet. I would like to ensure marks and spencer, I have no problems with my feet and I feel that as I have shopped in Marks and Spencer for over 40 years, groceries and clothes shopping I think this is very shoddy treatment. I am left now with a pair of slippers that are useless and I didn't take the refund as it wasn't what I had paid originally and I am seriously considering not shopping in Marks and Spencer anymore. If this is the attitude of the Manageress of this branch how do they expect the shop to prosper. I must say the girls on the till were helpful and polite. Maybe you need to rethink a new manageress.
