Ecovery for the late payment

I had taken a desktop computer three years ago. However, I have paid all the EMI through ECS through my ICICI bank. The Bajaj Finance company had taken 12 cheques with the amount around 1200 per month. However, on 13/4, I received a call from Bajaj allianz that I have to pay more 1600 amount due to late payment. However, the person who was talking was very rude and asking for money otherwise my name would appera in the civil list. He said that since it was their year closing the file was sent to him. However, my question is why did they did not call the 3 years and asked for the late payment whereas now asking and also said that he would take me to the court for the same. Request you to please let me know what to do next.
