Blackberry pearl 8100 smartphone
Handset not connecting with p.c

Dear Sir,

I have got Blackberry 8100 pearl my handset is not getting connected to my pc

please help me with procedure to enable my handet to get connected to my p.c.

please also note that i dont want to connect my handset to surf the net on my phone i just want to transfer my contact information and few word and excel file my handset

i would be eargerly with the solution
