Motherboard heating, battery not charging

I bought a Dell Studio Laptop recently through online booking. However, I found that it gets heated up and the Internet Explorer doesn't open. I called up the consumer complaint and asked them to come over to look into the problem. The technical reps were however quite rude and did not commit anything. Instead I was asked to connect to the internet and let them remotely handle my laptop (knowing fully well that my web browser does not open and it wasn't possible to connect). My plea to come personally and look into it went unheeded. A friend of mine suggested that I install Firefox (could have been advised by Dell guys also). I was finally able to connect to the internet and the technical rep told me that the problem had been rectified and that he would also call me up after 5 days. Meanwhile the battery stopped charging and as expected, there was no call from Dell!

In hindsight made the biggest mistake by purchasing a Dell laptop.
