I HAVE DV2601TX NOTEBOOK. ITS HARD DRIVE CRASHED, MADE FROM SEAGATE. I CONTACTED SEAGATE, THEY TOLD HDD IS UNDER WARANTY AND I CAN REPLACE IT BY CONTACTING HP.
I CONTACTED HP, THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T REPLACE IT AND CAN'T HELP.
WHEN I WAS IN US, I CONTACTED HP US ALSO, IT IS ANSWERED BY LOCAL GUY ONLY, PRIMARILY THE STAFF IS NOT WELL QUALIFIED AND PUTING ON HOLD AFTER EVERY QUESTIONS. THIS IS REDICULOUS AND ANNOYING.
I HAVE NOT SEEN WORST COMPANY LIKE THIS. HOPE NO ONE WILL BUY HP LAPTOP OR DESKTOP IN FUTURE. BECAUSE ONCE YOU BUY YOU ARE TRAPPED GOAT. YOU CAN'T GET ANY SERVICE OR SUPPORT FROM THIS COMPANY AND I MEAN IT, I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN US AS WELL AS IN INDIA ALSO, UNLESS YOU SPEND THOUSAND OF MONEY TO GET YOUR WORK DONE (I guess it is worth buying new machine from other company then that)!!
I HAVE SPENDS THOUSAND OF RUPEES AND DOLLARS AFTER THIS CRAP OF LAPTOP, I WILL AT LEAST TRY TO STOP PEOPLE BUY FROM HP.
