Dear Sir/ Madam,

I was using the Rs, 649/ per month plan. I had requested for change of bill plan from DSL Home 649 (256kbps) Rental Plan Package to New DSL Combo (512 Kbps) Advance Rental 750 Plan - (Retention Plan). This request was placed on 3rd June and the Service Request No. for the same is 47155338 according to which someone would get back to me by 8th June. However no action had been taken, and when I spoke to Airtel executives and got no result I complained to the Nodal office They sent me a mail stating that this request was actual placed on 21st June (when I clearly have a service request no for placing this request on 8th June) saying that I will have to pay the same rental for July also.

Please tell me is this the way a multinational company functions??? Does it take 3 weeks to migrate from one plan to another, or do you follow this practice to fleece customers of their hard earned money??

Even after that I called again on 21st June and asking Airtel Customer Executive to disconnect my Airtel Connection, as I will be shifting to another city. He kept my call on hold for 25 minutes and came back and said that the Disconnection Dept is busy, and asked me to call back again later. I called back after 2 hours, again was kept on hold for 20 minutes, to be told that no one from the concerned dept is available, when I insisted that I can not call again I was given a Service request No again which was 223567123, by which my airtel line will get disconnected.

It was very surprising that even after this call, my line did not get disconnected.

I called again on 28th June and there was a repeat of the same story; I was asked to wait for 7 days and my line will get disconnected. The service request no. this time was 47155338 again.

After this I did not call or check again, as I was busy with my shifting. I shifted on 2nd July and settled in my new city. I was shocked to receive another call from airtel on 12th July i.e yesterday saying that my plan has been migrated from DSL Home 649 (256kbps) Rental Plan Package to New DSL Combo (512 Kbps) Advance Rental 750 Plan - (Retention Plan)!!! When I have been calling up to migrate, I receive no response and now that I wanted the disconnection, you guys call up for migration.

I spoke to Airtel Customer Care Executive again today and I was given 3 different Service Requests numbers in my conversation of 40 minutes (in which I was made to hold the line for at least 25 -30 mins) – the no.s are 1517524, 213926877 and finally 48817892.

I was told on 12th July that I have some outstanding and I will have to clear that and then only will be line be disconnected within 7 days.

Let me make it very clear to you that when I have already requested for disconnection on 21st June, why should I be billed after that. It is not my problem at all what you do internally, as far as I am concerned I had closed the airtel chapter on 21st June, and according to me there should have been no outstanding: I can not help it if you have billed me even after that.

So, please go ahead and do whatever you wish to, I am no longer concerned. Please disconnect my line, as I will no longer be responsible for any outstanding in this connection and I absolutely refuse to pay the outstanding quoted to me today. So please immediately cancel the connection and reverse the entire pending amount.

When the connection is to be sold countless calls are received & representatives visit you but at the time of cancellation there is no customer service

All these are methods implemented by Airtel to rob their broadband customers out of there hard earned money or with an intention to extort money from so called valued customers

If I get no resolution from the Nodal or the Appellate authority I will be forced to move to the legal/ Consumer forum and a file a case against Airtel and ask for the compensation of the monetary harassment & the mental harassment that I have incurred during the period; because I am the working class salaried person, and to pay extra is not easy for me, I do not have a penny to waste. I will not tolerate this form of harassment as I do not have neither any time nor any energy to waste on cheats like you.

Kindly note my request and take suitable action for the above request.
