I hv put the following complaint to PWD (in same portal of Consumercomplaints.in) for taking some immediate action, so that lives of small kids are not at risk. Even though I took it up earlier on 13.09.2010 with MCD also (in same portal of Consumercomplaints.in) with two reminders later on, but no action by them, Then somebody told me that it comes within the purview of PWD, do today I wrote to PWD also. Request u also to take up the issue at ur end also.
CONTENTS OF THE COMPLAINT SUBMITTED BY ME TO PWD TODAY & TO MCD THRICE IN LAST 1 MONTH, AS HEREUNDER :
n the recent past u hv made a foot overbridge at Prem Bari Pul near Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-110088. Previously for pedestrian there was a red light on the ring road.
& to enable pedestrian to cross the road, the iron grill was removed from the median. But even after the foot overbridge is ready/operational but still the people cross the road thro median as the iron bar is not placed again to restrict the pedestrians.
But Deptt has definitely removed the red light resulting it making an accident prone area & threat to pedestrian as well as the vehicle owners.
Point of concern here is that on the Ring Road itself there is a Govt School (Central School) and u wd find small kids crossing the ring road through this gap in median, because they find it as a shortcut to cross the road and to go another side of Road towards Wazirpur Industrial area. So far the sake of these small kids, pls do something
Moreover, till the time u put the iron grill on the median, very few people (other than small kids) wd use the foot overbridge, which is made from the Tax Payers money & we see everyday that how Deptt negligence plays with our money & risks our lives
Now what the PWD needs to do is
1. Close the median by putting iron grills and remove all gaps so that pedestrain don't get the place to cross the road thro median
2. Remove the obstacles (cycle rickshaws parked by jhuggi dwellers on footpath on shalimar bagh side & also to remove the big dustbin put by MCD)
