Madam,
We, the students of D.Ed. and B.Ed bring to your kind notice the harassment being meted out to us by the college Management of Guru Harkrishan College of Education, Jagadhri, Bilaspur Road, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana Ph:09315457768 through the principal. Madam, it is time for us to put in our heart and body, mind and soul to get through our coming final examination. But the management of the college is acting on the contrary and has its own planning of causing mental tension to the students.
As per the rule the attendance is marked on the register from the beginning of the session but we were not marked present on the register and when whenever we went to college in the beginning of the session, we were told that college was closed and the attendance was marked with a pencil and the process is still going on.
All the students paid their installments of college fee regularly. We were never told about the absence fine which is being charges Rs. 150/- per day without telling the students the numbers of absents. The rate of fine is not mentioned in prospectus. We are being told that we are falling short of attendance when two months are still left for the completion of the session. Are they prophets to make any prophecy about the shortage of attendance. Now when it is time for final installment, the managing committee has brought out a long list of fine amounting to thousands of rupees for every student. i.e. 15000/- to 25000/-.
The principal is having an in camera meeting with each student and threatening the students to pay the fine.
The principal is charging the fine from the last fee installment of the students and asking for more money for fee and that too in cash.
The students are being threatened with dire consequences that they would be given less marks in the practical examination. Not only this, the students are being told to pay the fine in cash not through cheque/demand draft but they will not be issued any receipt of this fine also.
The students have come from nook and corner of Haryana & UP to become teachers to contribute their share in nation building. Where should we bring the money for fine? Some of our colleagues are newly married and are attending the college regularly. They will be questioned in their in-laws where did you spend your time and how should we manage this amount without the knowledge of our parents and in-laws. We are passing through a phase of tension so may not be compelled to go in for any drastic step.
Our parents endeavour hard to arrange our fee. You are requested to look into the matter and save us from the financial claws of the management.
