I completed my all modules without any hassle on time. Later on when I submitted my synopsis for MS-100, my bad experience with IGNOU started. In the first time my synopsis was rejected and supervisor was approved with remark to add some more content. I resubmitted but without the failed one and that was my mistake. Hence I got the second rejection. Moreover the same supervisor was disapproved this time with the remark to add the rejected copy as well. Later I submitted it for the third time with all the instruction again it was rejected because of the new supervisor. When I called the number 911129534372 to check the status of the synopsis, I was told that now my synopsis is disputed and I have to come to the IGNOU office to meet the Professor Mr. Vijay Kumar. I came to the office and came to know that he was on the study leave. Moreover the staff told me that there is no fixed time of his availiblity.
I decided to change the topic and supervisor in order to end this. As per the instruction from the staff I wrote a letter to My Vijay Kumar stating the reason I want to change the topic and supervisor. Again I attached the whole bunch of previous rejected synopsis to that. Moreover I wrote a detailed letter to him explaining to him that what has happened on the last attempts and why I want to change the topic. After couple of months I contacted the the office to check the status and I got the same answer that my synopsis is on hold and I have to come to meet the Professor (This is very strange that for a distant learning program a person has to come). But still I took a leave and came to office. Again Mr VijayKumar was not there and I was informed that at this time he use to be in JNU for his own studies. IGNOU staff was answerless for his availability for the next time.
Sir it’s been approximetly two years I have completed my PGDBM but still wandering for Degree. I am still not able to understand that why a student is getting forced to come to head office, Delhi whose study center is Kanpur UP. What is so important that the professor wants to discuss face to face in a DISTANT LEARNING PROGRAM. The reasons are best known to him. Moreover the contact no. 911129534372 go unattended and busy most of the times.
I am still struggling for my rights. I want to complete my degree but these mismanagement and misconducts are hindering my growth and efforts. Moreover such practices tend the students to abort their education from IGNOU as we cannot struggle with the work procedure of the IGNOU staff due to our job and family responsibilities.
One very first day of IGNOU induction at kanpur, I was told by a teacher that only 3 out of 10 students complete the MBA from IGNOU as its not easy. Now I realize that data was true but reason is quite different...
