Sub:- Mail—inordinate delay in delivery—reg.
Ref:- Booking Number 3065622, dated 2.7.2011.
I had sent an urgent letter addressed to the Programme Officer, MK University Distance Education Study Centre, Dayapuram, P.O.NIT Campus, Calicut 673 601, on 2.7.11 at 4 PM through your Kalpetta (Wayanad) Office. The letter was very urgent and pertained to examination. I was assured by your Kalpetta office that the letter would reach the addressee on 4.7.11, However, the addressee didn’t receive the letter on 4.7.11.
So I contacted your Kalpetta office on 5.7.11. They told me that they would contact the Calicut/Kunnamangalam office and contact me back. As they didn’t contact me, I contacted them several times on 5.7.11. The letter did not reach the destination on 5.7.11 too. Today (6.7.11) as the University study centre told me that the letter has not reached them, I again contacted your Kalpetta office (04936206076), Kunnamangalam office (04953246127) and Calicut office (04952369852). At last the letter was delivered at 2.30 PM today.
The letter was very urgent. If it causes any damage (there is cut-ff date), I will be constrained to sue you for damages. Had it been sent by ordinary post, it would have reached the addressee on 4.7.11. The matter has been dealt with by your people in a lousy manner in spite of my repeated enquiries.
