NIFT did not allot seats to compartment students in FY 12

This letter is addressed to bring it to the ministry notice about the irregularities in the selection of students who had got qualified for NIFT counseling in the FY 12. Students who had qualified for counseling FY 12 for NIFT and who got passed their exam in compartment were not given the seat. As per the rules it is very clear that students who have been qualified for counseling but awaiting compartment results, NIFT has to block the students till the compartment results were announced. When the results were announced and when the students attended the counseling held in the month of July/Aug'2011 they were sent out without even looking into the documents provided. This is humiliated the student. In the current FY 13 a separate declaration format is made available. What about the students who got selected in FY 12 but where sent of without admission. This is a very serious matter which has to be looked into and a thou rough inquiry has been made and see that students have been given admission in the current FY 13
