RE: Grievance Regarding Poor Quality standards, Verbal Abuse and Harassment done by Nehru college of Engineering and Research Centre.

I am P.M.Subramanian worked as a Asst Professor in Nehru College of Engineering and Research centre, Pampady, Thrissur District from November to July.
I wish to point out some of the poor standards and harassment done by Nehru college of Engineering and Research Centre towards me.
First of all they are not maintaining AICTE standards. Most of the faculty working there are under graduates they didn’t even complete post graduation. The lab facilities are very poor and most of equipments are not functioning. The management is treating all the faculties like a slave dogs.
In my case they mentioned in the appointment order that in case of emergent situations a faculty may leave the college by paying three months salary. But after when I have joined they continuously pressurized me and verbally abused me to pay three months salary. I have worked there for eight months and I want to get relieved due to my wife’s medical treatment. But they informed me that you have to work here for minimum one year or otherwise pay three months salary. Their main motive is to extract money from the faculty and students. The terms and conditions mentioned in the appointment order are to extract money only.
They informed me that no need to take classes, simply apply for leave and go. They are not bothering about students also. Most of the faculties are just engaging the classes rather than teaching. They constantly threatened me to pay three months salary and they tried to physically harass me. In order to safe guard my life and to get my certificates, I have paid three months salary and left the college on 27/07.I have lost this month salary in the name of vacation where I didn’t ask for any vacation.
They are giving more vacation leave (Christmas, Onam) and they are extracting the money for the vacation when a faculty leaves the college. Their major motive is to earn money and they are not having any focus towards research and teaching. They are not giving any receipts for the money paid by the faculty. They are making all the money earned by them not to come under income tax.
Most of the classes are handled by guest lecturers who have completed BE in their college itself. They are not deducting PF also from employee salary. The management is very arrogant and rude to faculties working there. In 2009 NCERC students involved in a strike which is displayed in Asianet news is an example for their arrogant nature.
I wish to point out there is a person named Sivam (AAO) who verbally abuses me when I am entering the college and uses bad words against me. He is management person who always verbally abuses all.
Adv Krishna das, managing trustee of this college doesn’t know how to provide good education to students. His main motive is to earn money only that too in a criminal way. Since he is a lawyer he knows all tactics to harass the faculty and to earn money. He doesn’t have any ethics, values and beliefs.
If the concerned authorities are not taking action against this institution, the entire education system will get spoiled. Kindly take severe action against this institution to ensure quality education in the country. AICTE should cancel the affiliation for the poor quality standards maintained by this college.
