Odaiyappa college of Engg & tech is situated on palanivelrajan nagar, Theni. It is affiliated to Anna university Trichy and is approved by AICTE. College secretary is Mr. O. Kannappan. Right now he is arrested by the Tamilnadu police for land ownership cheating cases. The college principal Mr. P. Murugeshan is educated but is of low standard.
This college is a hell to all the students. The only objective of this institution is to impose fine fine and only fine over the students. The students are asked to bring their parents for each and every simple single matters. All public holidays and second Saturday's are working days for this institutions. Anna univ holidays are also working days here and by this Students suffer a lot. If we are in need of a leave, as per the college rules, we have to get the permission from the Class adviser, HOD and the principal but the fact is that none of them will grant us permission and if we are going without permission means the fine is as the like of the principal. It may be either 500 or 1000 without receipt. Classes are not going as per the given time tables. One staff may take even 6 out of the total of 8 periods. And by this reason the attendance will be always less than 75 and before exams the college management will impose a fine of a minimum of 4000 to 10000. On what basis did the Anna university and the AICTE gave approval for this kind of institution..? All the staffs are of low standard, especially the office staffs. The college has Zero maintenance.
While collecting the fee, an amount of 15000 is also being asked to remit by the students as extra fee. We actually dont know what this extra fee is for. Book fee is collected every year, but the fact is that we did'nt get books in none of the semesters. All the buildings here in the institution are of low quality contruction and we are afraid to sit inside the class. There are no good toilet facilities inside the campus. No drinking water facilities. None of the class rooms has Fan or light. We have many more to say... We the students here suffer a lot and we request you to take immediate action against this institution as early as possible and save us, the students...
