Hi,

I purchased a Carrier Estrella 1 ton split ac from Pinky radios, Sector 35, Chandigarh on May 6. The unit we received had a defect, the Indoor unit display digits were corrupt and of the digit was not displayed correctly. We asked the service engineer who had come for installation and he said he will get this don’t from the service center but no one reached or called to know the problem.

We called up Pinky Radios who gave us the local service center number. So we called up the local service center on 8th June and registered a complaint (complaint # 3818) regarding the display and water leakage in indoor unit (this started after 1 week of installation). The engineer came on 9th June and solved the leakage problem. For the display problem he said the pcb and display unit are faulty. When asked about the time it will take to replace the part, he said he will do it by next day i.e 10th June. As non one would be home on 10th, i personally handed over the PCB and display unit to the Service Station at Attawa Village, Sector 42, Chandigarh. I handed over the parts to Pawan Kumar in the afternoon at about 2 pm. He said they will check the unit and install by evening.

No one called up to tell the status of the parts and no one visited us on Saturday (June 9th) or Sunday. I called up again on Monday and the service center personnel said it will be installed by evening on Monday. Same thing has happened on Tuesday and I had a furios talk with one of the executives at the service station and I asked him to install the faulty unit back. I called up the Pinky Radios sales department in Sector 35, CHD and requested them to do the same. He promised the part will be installed by evening. Again no one came. Not satisfied with the service, I also registered a complaint with Carrier Helpline (180030111111), complaint number: CHNDI608. I called them up again on Wednesday and got the same replay but no one came to install the old faulty part back.

I purchased the AC only a month back and its peak summers now. At this peak temperatures your engineers have left the unit in non running condition and we have to suffer in this hot weather without the AC and that too after spending Rs 40, 000 on an AC. If your service center does not have a replacement, its okay I can wait but at least install the old part back so that the unit is working till the replacement arrives. Why do we have to suffer if your inventory management is not good.
