The first day when Mr. Fahim Sayani’s men came to inspect the air conditioner, they came with the objective of servicing. At this point I made it very clear that the gas was leaking. His guy still insisted on inspecting my Carrier 1 ton split air conditioner (AC) to check if that was the only problem. He checked it thoroughly and came to the consensus that it was broken and there was a gas leak, which I already knew. At this point, my entire room was in a mess obviously because they had to remove both the units. He was going to charge me 350 for inspection (which he never mentioned), for a problem I already knew. He gave me a choice, if I repaired the unit from him he won’t charge me the 350, if not, then I’ll have to pay 350 upfront. Dint seem like a choice to me, I took his Rs. 4000 option, since I was desperate, where he would do everything and get my AC fixed. He called his boss (Mr. Fahim Sayani) and had this confirmed over the telephone. At this point I needed some numbers and service assurance. After speaking to Mr. Fahim Sayani over the phone he quoted a figure of Rs. 4000 for the entire repair, at this point I was a bit reluctant in paying that large amount since I had filled up gas in the past with servicing for Rs. 2800. On speaking to his men they seemed very confident sales men and said that if I was to fix the AC from them I dint have to worry for almost 2 years. Also on speaking to Mr. Fahim Sayani, he was speaking very calmly, giving an assurance and was sounding very promising that his work would be better than the previous Rs. 2800. At this point I gave him an advance of Rs. 2000 and they took the AC with them. I did not receive any receipt or cash guarantee note that they had my AC or for the Rs. 2000 that I gave them. Its like sending the AC with Rs. 2000 in oblivious space.

After 3 days, two other men came from his office with my AC. Saying that the gas was filled and the AC was serviced. There was no noticeable change that I could see in my AC. I inquired what all work was done on my AC and where was the actual leak, since that these men were some other contractual worker hired by Mr. Fahim Sayani, he dint know much. He began his assembly work, on doing so, we found out that the gas was still leaking. At this point, we investigated and realised that the units were absolutely alright and there was a problem with the pipe that carried the gas. This pipe very conveniently was not accounted in the initially Rs. 4000. I was asked to pay an additional Rs. 1800 for that 10 feet wire. On demanding an explanation from Mr. Fahim Sayani, he was extremely argumentative and brash with his tone over the phone. He had no logical explanation for why he spent my Rs 4000 checking a perfectly normal AC. On asking for a written explanation and detailed breakdown of what all he has done. He gave me an estimated memo with my name and address spelt incorrectly with illegible writing. I was absolutely disgusted with this poor service. So the 3 days that he had my perfectly normal AC he charged me 4000 for just checking it; Rs. 4000 for checking something that was flawless!!!

It does not end here. I paid him Rs. 1800 extra for the pipes and fittings. Mr. Fahim Sayani’s men started fitting the AC back to the way it was, unfortunately they couldn’t, they couldn’t get the wall unit locked the way it was. He started eroding a perfectly good wall and started applying force on the unit so that it could fit somehow. But no it dint, something terribly had gone wrong from time they took it to Mr. Fahim Sayani’s Crystal Chill Zone workshop. In the end they blamed that my wall was crooked and he won’t be able to fix it. So now my AC hangs on only one secure lock. It latterly wobbles and doesn’t seem to be well fitted at all. The entire finish of Crystal Chill Zone’s work was appalling and they ruined my walls once where the unit stood wonderfully. All the concealed wires are now exposed on asking them to have it fixed; he clearly states that it’s not his job. I would give an average to their after job cleaning. Only if I could post some pictures, you could see how distressing it is.

To sum up my entire experience, I would never recommend Mr. Fahim Sayani’s Crystal Chill Zone to anyone. I paid Rs. 5800 to fix a hole in the external AC pipe and now it’s poorly fitted with ruined walls. On a personal note, I think they are extremely unprofessional and have no knowledge of the business. They are not transparent with their charges and work quality is pathetic. Companies like Mr. Fahim Sayani’s Crystal Chill Zone need to me under a watchful eye for their bad business practices and consumer need to be well informed.
