I had purchased a mobile DELL XCD28 on 16/12 from M/S.S.H. Mumtazuddin & Co., Kolkata, but I highly regret to state that since the date of purchase I have been facing several problems with this handset.
The defects are as under:
Low Battery Backup
Randomly Switch OFF within 5-10 minutes while calling or answering a call.
For rectification of this problem, I had approached one of the Service Centres od DELL at Park Plaza Building, 71, Park Street, Kolkata - 16. Upon investigation by the said Service Centre Executives it was found out that it was a manufacturing defect of the Company and the handset was replaced by a new one.
Just after 5-10 days, the same problems were repeated and again I had to go to the Service Centre. The Executive told me that they have received a lot of complaints about this handset and the company has stopped manufacturing this handset. He also told me that he has a last piece left and assured me that the problem won't be repeated and replaced the handset again with a new one.
But to my greatest surprise, I could not believe that a Company like DELL could do this. The same problems were observed on the very same day. Infact, this replaced handset RESTARTED much frequently than the previous phones although there was NO HANGING PROBLEM.
Meanwhile, I have come across several reviews of this handset on the INTERNET and I could not see a single person appreciating this handset. In fact, everyone is facing the same problem which I have been facing since the date of purchase.
Now, I am completely frustrated with this phone (DELL XCD28) and would request the company to provide a permanent remedy to this problem or direct the dealer to refund the cost of the mobile.
