I purchased a KORYO brand Microwave Oven on cash payment from E-Zone Kolkata (Bhavanipur), address: Homeland Mall, 18B, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road, Kolkata 700072, which is a division of Home Solutions Retail (I) Ltd. on 13th August. Cash Memo Number: T10/999 dated 13.08.2010. The product was in the display and the salesmen packed the same inside a box in front of me, and insisted a self delivery would be most convenient because of the rush of sale in Independence Day Offer the delivery may get delayed otherwise. A person named Mr. Daniel Rana came for installation on 20.08.2010 and after opening the box found that a ROLLER is not supplied in the box, and a Roti Crisper is missing. I was also told that the machine can not be used as the ROLLER is an essential part. I called the E-Zone immediately and reported the same, and I was informed that E-Zone has nothing to do with this, and I was advised to contact the KORYO service center. The Koryo service center at Kolkata informed me that they have nothing to do either at present, and advised me to write a letter to the address printed on the BOX of the article supplied. I am completely at a loss and confused, while the article is lying idle as a home décor in my kitchen, with no body taking the responsibility of the negligence on the part of the salesman at E-Zone by supplying the machine without an essential part deliberately. What should I do now? Should I file a complaint in the Consumer Court in Kolkata for redress? Or should I request Home Solutions Retail (I) Ltd. to award such salesmen they keep?
