Theft of HP /Inactive Request

Sir,

My HP Laptop purchased from Focuz computers, Banerji road, Ernakulam, Kerala, India has been got thefted frm LIBYA on 27/12/09, so kindly advice me whether i will get any compensation as i have missed this within 20days of purchase (purchased date:08-12-09) also if i wish 2 get a new HP laptop of same model will there be any discount% for me as i have lost my laptop within a short span of time
