Hi,
I am a frustrated customer of IFB washing machine. I bought this front loading model on 07.07.2008 for Rs. 24000. Now within 3 years of its purchase, there was a mechanical damage inside the machine breaking the concrete block, front rim, etc. Service engineers visited and have estimated around Rs. 4500 for the repair.
To spend more this much amount on a product of a so-called reputed company is not acceptable to me.
I purchased an IFB product thinking I will be a proud customer to have chosen this brand.
To add to this, the engineer very casually said, "This happened due to defective bearing. And this was since the date of installation. At that point of time, we even brought it to the notice of the installatin engineer that the machine makes abnormal noise. To thi he replied, "This noise is normal". We never imagined that this negligence of that engineer could put us such an expenditure within 3 years of purchase.
Though the spoilage of the machine had begun during the warranty period, the actual breakage happened after end of warranty period. Hence, company is not ready to bear the repair / spares charges. My demand is that the company should take note of this and pay me the entire repair charges as well as guarranty that such breakdown will not happen in the near future.
The company's mission says, "Continuously maximizing company's wealth by manufacturing and marketing best quality engineering products that go into daily life."
But the reality is that only the first part is the real mission - to maximize IFB's wealth. And they do this by fooling and robbing customers.
If IFB wants to survive in the market, they should take care of troubled customers like me, else, I warn them .. BEWARE, YOU'LL BE THROWN OUT OF THE MARKET.
