In February'08, I had purchased a microwave model number (20PG2S). On Apr I found that the "Start" button in the button panel was not working. So on 14 th Apr I launched a complain (8653876). After calling customer care center for 4 to 5 times finally the technician came. The person who came was more eager in selling products of IFB like micro-oven cleaner and voltage stabilizer. Finally he replaced the panel and forced us to buy one cleaner. During his presence while I was re-checking the machine I found that sound like burning firecrackers are coming from the machine along with burning smell. Then the technician told us that the line was not ok and need to be checked. From the discussion with the technician I found that he was not at all confident what he was saying and also he was in a hurry to leave. Then while giving us the bill he told us that the bill was not currently available so he is not giving the bill and he will give it on the next day. After this incident we called the electrical technician and he checked the line and the electrician told us that the line is ok and currently we are using another electrical appliance using the same line. On 23rd Apr when I called back the technician for the bill he stared shouting over phone. The technician had charged Rs. 866 and he had given us the bill of Rs. 225 amount.
This is the second time I am facing the bitter experience with the after sales service. I have never faced such a horrible experience with my other products. I was thinking to replace my SAMSUNG washing machine with the IFB machine. But after this incident I think I need to change my decision and also not recommend anyone to buy IFB products in near future.
