I had bought a fully autmatic washing machine from IFB Model no. AW60-8062 on 10.12.2008. The machine is under warranty till 09.12.12. I have faced many problems from day one of purchase which were resolved only after intervention from this forum. Recently the machine has again stopped working. After making a complaint I was informed by the Service Head, Delhi Ms Anuradha that I should have "kept the machine away from water" probably IFB expects consumers to use petrol or kerosene to wash clothes. I was informed very rudely by the lady that no service will be provided to us until we pay 3500 for changing the body of the machine. I have ample customer complaints to prove that the body of the machine has been spoil due to no service from IFB rather than any other problem. Kindly look into the matter as this is blackmail in the name of consumer service. The complaint no. is 6298654 dated 03.05.2011.
