Refusal to consider exchange

I purchased a Nokia 1661 cell phone from Univercell in Tambaram, Chennai along with an Airtel SIM card. The ringing volume on the phone was low and my mother was complaining that the phone was too complex for her to use. Even I could see the significant difference in maximum ringing volume between other phone and this phone. When I went back to the company to explain the problem and request an exchange to a different model, I was given all kind of BS about how the newer phones have lower ringing volume than the older models and that they will give a credit of only about 1/3rd the cost the phone etc. I got sick of their attitude and left. I strongly recommend that you don't do business with Univercell unless you want to be screwed.
