I bought one LG 42" LCD from HOMETOWN (Great India Place, Noida) on the 15th of August. They had asked me to pay 25 % of the total payment and thereafter to pay the remaining amount and the product was to be delivered after 2 days i.e. on the 17th August. On the 17th morning i paid the whole sum but the product was not delivered on that day. I called them several times, they did not pick up initially. So finally i had to go there and ask them personally to deliver the TV. Again on the 18th August I called them several times for the delivery, they said that they cant deliver it and i have to wait for another half an hour for the confirmation and they would call me back! I waited for the whole day, i did not leave my home as i waited for them and finally i ended wasting almost one whole day in this process... Finally they came with the TV and they kept it at my home, without installing it as they said that they would come again on the next day i.e. on the 19th August... I visited HOMETOWN again on the 19th August... I met a gentleman there, who claimed to be the supervisor there for that department, he said me that the installation would be done within an hour. I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT IN TOTAL GRIEF, EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT AND POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVIDED BY HOMETOWN... I WOULD HAPPILY RETURN THEIR PRODUCT AND NOT KEEP IT EVEN IF THEY GIVE IT FREE OF CHARGE... because i have to buy a television not tension ..I am even not sure of the after sales service that they would provide for the same... I WOULD NOT SUGGEST ANY PERSON TO GO TO HOMETOWN TO BUY ANYTHING, RATHER I WOULD REQUEST YOU ALL TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE... Total nonsense and big waste of time... and i am still waiting for the Installation...
