I have purchased a LG KS 660 mobile hand set from UniverCell (Univercell telecommunication India Pvt Ltd. ) Velachery branch on 23.01.2010 for Rs 14930 including Rs 430 was also collected from me towards theft insurance.
Having purchased an expensive the handset (i was informed that the actual cost was 17300 but as an introduction offer it was discounted for 14500), I was suprised to find that the touch pad was not very effective. It took a little more than resonable time to respond to the touch and was not working properly to my satisfaction.
However being house wife I gave myself time to understand its working and assumed that it possibly was due to my lack of adaptability. However to my suprise the functioning of the handset worsened progressivly over time and stopped functioning completely when I was forced to approch the dealer UniverCell.
I approched the dealer UniverCell at Velachery on 1st May from where I bought the hand set who after exmination of the hand set informed me that the touch pad was not working and hence they need to send this to the manufacturer LG Electronics for service and replacement of the touch pad. I handed over the handset to UniverCell on the same day compaining that I needed a replacement of a new hand set and was not willing to accept a repair and replacement of the parts.

On monday the 3rd May I received a call from Univercell informing me that they will be able to do only a service and not a replacement as the touch pad is only defctive and hence they will replace the touch pad and return the same mobile handset to me. I called LG Electronics to compalin that the instrument was defective and hence I required a replacement by a new hand set and was not willing to accept the repair and replacement, which i felt was lawfully due to me as UniverCell had sold me a defective hand set.
I need to have my mobile hand set replaced with a new handset as i have been cheated by UniverCell by selling me a defective hand set luring me with a discount offer of Rs 3000 at the time of sale, very well knowing the hand set was defective and also colluded with the manufacturer LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd.
