Dear Sir/ Ma'am,
I am a resident of Panaji, Goa. I live with my wife and 8 yr old
daughter in our flat.
Few days before last Diwali (Nov), we had purchased a chandelier
from a local shop located in St. Inez area (near Fire Brigade
office-Panaji) which sells lamps, fittings, furniture, etc. This light
fitting was fixed by their person on the next day of purchase.
During the last week (April), this chandelier fell down breaking
the marble floor tile and leaving the flat full of glass pieces. To
our fortune my daughter was not around otherwise this could have
resulted into fatal injury. When we approached the vendor, he seems
least interested in the concern. He is asking us to show the bill to
believe that he sold this to us, which we do not have. And this is the
only reason I have not approached Police dept.
I am not interested in refund or replacement but I want to create
awareness about these kind of substandard products which could take
someone's life.
Do you have any forum wherein we can make people aware about this near
miss incident?
Pl help.
Regards,
Amish Kamat
