it is with reference to the news and features appeaaring in almost all the telugu electronic media, about the hidden treasure in about 118 olden temples in the state of andhra pradesh.
Much has been on discussions and debatings in the electronic media of the state, consequent to the exposure of the enormous wealth in the cellars of LORD PADMANABHA SWAMY temple in THIRUVANANTHA PURAM of state of KERALA .
Ofcourse, the meda has the right to debate upon, but the unsubstantiated features about the hidden treasures in the olden temples of the state numbering about 118, is causing alarm in the mindsof many as such news items tend to drive the miscreants to hunt for the treasures by damging and defiling the age old temples and due to such news telecast through the media, there is definite and potential danger to the very existence of the temples.
Already, it has been reported that some of the temples have been subjected to damage by some treasure hunters in the state and, if the media is allowed to go on with such reporting and airing, sure the temples in the state and all over are at peril which would destroy the relics of the history and also injure the sacred religious sentiments of crores of Hindus.
Hence i request Your kind authority, to direct the telugu elctronic media . to maintain restraint in airing the news about the hidden treasures in temples to protect the ancient sanctoriums in the state.
