Fraudulent practice from Next Retail- the electronic retailer
On Saturday I purchased a IFB Washing Machine model no. 8061 top loading automatic model from their dealer M/s Electronics Desire, plot no. 147, Main road, Palam ext. near ICICI Bank, Sector 7, Dwarka, New Delhi 110045 phone no. 011 -25074721 vide receipt no. 962 dated 18/9/ 2010 for Rs. 11, 500/- under exchange scheme.
The salesman Ajay (9717458270) used his typical sales talk of giving me the best price in the market and also told me that nobody in the market can beat the price. He told us that the MRP of the product is Rs. 12, 800/- and since we are giving our old washing machine in exchange hence he is giving us a discount of Rs. 1300/- on top of it he was giving us a free gift of IFB microwave bowl set. We thought it was a good deal and hence made the purchase. When I was unpacking the machine at home I realised that the printed MRP on the carton was for Rs. 12, 250/- and not as told by the salesman. It was then that we realised that we were cheated and got a exchange discount of only Rs. 550/-.
Since it was quite late at night hence I did not call the salesman, next morning when I called the salesman he took the call initially and told me that he will look into the matter, but ever since he has not been picking up the calls.
These kind of fraudulent sales transactions leaves a bad name for a reputed retailer like Next Retail.
