On about 22 July my handset was submitted to Nokia Care, Bongaigaon, because "0" key was unresponsive. I waited 2 hrs in the office and finally was told they would need to send it to New Delhi for the repair and it would take 2 weeks to get it back. As I was leaving station I asked for it back. I signed their job card and there was nothing given to me as record of this visit. When I came to Nokia Care, near City Garden, Sevoke Rd, Siliguri on 28 July they inspected the handset and said it had been "tampered" with so the warranty was no longer available. The repair would cost Rs 1000/- I was told. It is Nokia's responsibility to honour the warranty and return my handset repaired free of charge and functioning.
