INABILITY AND SLUGGISH ATTITUDE OF NOKIA IN REPAIR OF MOBILE PHONE

HELLO,

1. I WOULD LIKE TO NARRATE THE INDIFFERENT AND NON PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE OF A LEADING MOBILE PHONE BRAND NOKIA IN JAMNAGAR CITY.

2. I HAD PURCHASED A NOKIA X-6 HANDSET IN SEP 2011 WORTH NEARLY RS.14000.00 FROM A LEADING NOKIA STORE IN JAMNAGAR . AFTER AROUND ONE YEAR OF USE THE PHONE STARTED DEVELOPING PROBLEMS AND WOULD SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY AT ANY TIME. EVEN AFTER CHARGING THE PHONE COMPLETELY IT WOULD SWITCH OFF ANY TIME AND WOULD NOT RESTART. EVEN WHEN TRIED TO SWITCH ON MANUALLY IT WOULD NOT SWITCH ON.

3. I CONTACTED ASHOK ELECTRONICS, THE AUTHORISED NOKIA CARE CENTRE, WHO ACCEPTED MY HANDSET FOR REPAIRS ON 29NOV11. INITIALLY THEY TOLD ME THAT THE LCD SCREEN HAD BECOME FAULTY AND CHARGED ME Rs.1640.00 FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE SAME. BUT EVEN AFTER THAT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED .

4. I DEPOSITED THE HANDSET AGAIN ON 14DEC11 . THE CENTRE SAID THAT THE HANDSET HAS BEEN DISPATCHED TO THE COMPANY AND WILL BE BACK AFTER REPAIRS . BUT ITS BEEN OVER TWO MONTHS NOW AND NEITHER HAS THE HANDSET BEEN REPAIRED NOR MY MONEY REFUNDED. THE HANDSET IS STILL WITH THE NOKIA CARE CENTRE AND THEY DONT EVEN GIVE ME THE CORRECT DETAILS ON PHONE.

5. I AM A NAVAL OFFICER POSTED IN JAMNAGAR AND HAVE TO SUFFER A LOT BY GOING TO CITY SO FAR AGAIN AND AGAIN AT THE EXPENSE OF MY DUTY HOURS. THE SHOP IS LOCATED FAR AWAY AND ITS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO KEEP ENQUIRING ABOUT THE PHONE IN PERSON EVERY TIME. THE STAFF ALSO SEEMS DISINTERESTED IN REPAIRING OF THE HANDSET AND DISPLAY A CASUAL ATTITUDE. THE ONLY JOB THE STAFF AT THE SHOP DOES IS KEEP ON GIVING EXCUSES AND POSTPONING THE DATES OF DELIVERY FURTHER AND FURTHER.

6. IT IS TOTALLY NOT EXPECTED FROM A MOBILE PHONE BRAND WHICH CLAIMS TO BE THE LEADING BRAND IN INDIA. INITIALLY I WAS RENDERED WITHOUT A CELL PHONE FOR MANY DAYS THEN I HAD TO BUY A NEW CHEAP PHONE IN ORDER TO CATER FOR THE DELAY BY NOKIA .

7. PLEASE TAKE ADEQUATE ACTION AGAINST THIS OTHERWISE THE WAY I AM SUFFERING, THERE WILL BE NUMEROUS MORE PEOPLE LIKE ME FACING THE SAME SITUATION. AND REPEAT " THE PHONE IS STILL WITH THE COMPANY/NOKIA CARE CENTRE ". I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PHONE EITHER REPAIRED OR UN REPAIRED.
