Unsatisfactory Repair and Response from Nokia Priority centre in Warranty Period

Respected Sir / Madam,

A very pleasant Good Morning to you.

Subject of complaint: NOKIA E5 Device purchased on 16/10 (within warranty period) : INVOICE NO. - AM/H 3305 DTD. 16/10.

IMEI NO. 352023045269640.

I had purchased this mobile last year on the auspicious day of Vijayadashmi. The priority dealer at Hiland Park Mall had conveyed us that it is just launched mobile and really very goodand worth taking. Apart from that we had branches in Bengal like in Durgapur, etc. So if you have any issue you can go and show it there. He had given a free gift with it which i acknowledge and appreciate.

I had given my NOIKA E5 for repair at NOIKA PRIORITY CENTRE, BIG BAZAAR, DURGAPUR.

Here are my issues with this handset after the last time i had given it for repair in August'2011 at NOKIA PRIORITY, Durgapur.:-

1.) with the complaints of voice breaking/cracking during recieved or dialed call whether being in proper metro cities or in outskirts. This was a repeated problem which i have faced from last year and right from Kolkata Highland Park Branch and Durgapur Branch have just reformated or reloaded the software during my visit to them.

2.) Apart from that the my NOKIA E5 handset was performing slowly, sometimes being just jammed. I have ensured right from the beginning that no heavy games or any other softwares are used on it. I have even not used the internet or any other heavy downloading that can bring virus or any other reasons for the slowdown.

3.) After the repair was done and handset given to me i finished the handover formalities of signing off the documents. I acknowledge that i did not have the sim and the battery of my NOKIA E5 handset at the time of handover which i rightly acknowledge and confirm once again. But after i went back to my room and checked it i found a new problem had arisen which was not there earlier.

4.)The problem was that my display has been broken and it was not there when i had given it for repair. I again went back to NOKIA PRIORITY IN DURGAPUR.They just said that we are sorry and that we checked it before giving it to customer. They just refused and said that we have not done it and it is upto the customer to get it repaired. I am just helpless with this situation and frustrated with such type of response. My problem still persists.

5.) I spoke to the customer representative but he had the same adamant and stubborn replying attitude that we cannot do anything and if you want to get it repaired it is chargeable though in warranty period. I have faced the same attitude at this centre and there Highland park counterpart of evading the issues and trying to put it on other branches so that the customer goes here and there. This soft issues were not being controlled by any senior manager of NOKIA despite i had visited them so many times. The reason why i am trying to tell this that at the time of sale of handset the person/authority is very welcoming and warm and with all goodies and sweet talks but after you sell it and if some problem arises then its not my job or the just vague type of reponses starts, dilly-dallying and just shake it from your shoulders attitude to somebody else.

I have been a NOKIA user from 2002 right from NOKIA 1100, 6600, 7610, 3300, 7210 Supernova and finally NOKIA E5.But here is the reponse i get from soft ways/attitude and real defects issues of customer problems handling and resolving it.

Basic issues are:-

a.)Is NOKIA INDIA (willing to accept its responsiblity) of getting the damaged display repaired free of cost because i am 100 % sure that i have not damaged it by any means.

b.) Is NOKIA INDIA willing to accept and do something over handling of customer issues properly and trying to tell there representatives to be little matured in there behaviour. This might sound very rude but this is the major problem i had found during my 5-6 visits to these centres. I cannot blame everybody there present but this was the response felt.

c.)Is NOKIA INDIA willing to accept that these centres were trying to evade the responsibilty from solving the customer complaints for whatever reasons from the day 1 because if there was some internal feelings of bad performance of this handset and whether any bad name for them.

Let me saying that after paying Rs. 11, 600/ from the last year i am totally dissatisfied from this particular handset for value against money, the customer care and the representaive responseand the most important for the time i had put in it. I have not used its internet facilities, but still the voice cracking, the hanging or slowdown of mobile and now the display problem. It is very sad to see such a organisation running in such a fashion just because of such instances.

I cannot say that if i had used the internet facilties what might have happened but the above points are major ones and why should i pay anything extra for which i am not responsible.

People, the dealers are temprorary but it is the company which suffers. Practically speaking my long association with NOKIA is somewhat shaken and i am dejected because i still love all the NOKIA handsets which i have used from the beginning.
