Four years back, I bought a Onida 29" Poison Theatre. The purpose of buying Onida was that it had so many features like 1250W PMPO output, picture in picutre (PIP), built in 5.1 channel etc., The TV was working perfectly for almost four years.

One year back, I voluntarily called Adonis for AMC and took AMC for 4 years.

For the past 6 months, the TV is getting automatically switched off and when switched on, the PIP size is also reduced without any display. I have to switch on and off again to get the PIP to normal size with display.

I made several complaints with the Onida Service Centre (M/s. Adonis Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Nungambakkam) but the Service Engineer visited my place and told me that the TV working perfectly. The Service Engineer has no patience to wait and watch when the TV is getting switched off. I told the Service Engineer to take my TV to their Service Centre so that they can check the defect.

On 26.12. I sent the TV to the Service Centre and expected that the TV will come within one week. To my surprise, they have not repaired the TV and told me that they have to replace the board, which is not available at present. I made a request to send a spare TV. I got one spare TV only after 20 days. The spare TV was given to me without remote and some of the buttons were not functioning.

I made atleast 3 phone calls a week to find out the status of the TV. But, the response is totally disappointing. Whenever I call the Service Centre, they assured that the TV will be delivered within 2 days.

I visited Adonis on 13.02.2010 and met Mr. Munuswamy and Mr. Vijayakumar. Mr. Vijayakumar told me the same story that there is a problem with the board and the board is not available and I can pay Rs.6, 500/- more and they will give a new TV, which I am not sure whether it will work after one year. I told Mr. Muniswamy why should I pay additional amount when the TV is under AMC and it is the Service Centres responsibility to repair the TV. It is nearly 2 months I gave my TV for service and they were not able to attend a small problem. Mr. Muniswamy assured me that the TV will be delivered on Wednesday (17.02.2010) without fail.

I spoke to Mr. Munuswamy today (22.02.2010) and he bluffed that they are attending the problem and the TV will be ready in a couple of days.

I have not seen such a worst service in my whole life. For a small display problem, I have to leave my TV for nearly 2 months.

It is right time ONIDA should cancel the licence of Adonis Electronics, Chennai, as they are harrassing a customer for two months.

I will be forced to take legal action for my mental agony and the financial loss, if they fail to deliver my TV within a week.

I hope someone from ONIDA will be able to read my compliant and take appropriate action on Adonis, Chennai.
