In March I had purchased a Panasonic Refrigerator 329 ltrs Model No. NRB363V from Croma, Juhu. At the time we had gone to purchase a Samsung refrigerator as we were very happy with our other Samsung fridge (600 ltrs) which is doing extremely well for the past 8 years and the customer Service from them is also very prompt.

At Croma they convinced us that Panasonic is a bigger brand and their customer service is also very good. This turned out to be untrue. On Thursday, 23rd September suddenly the fridge stopped working. Immediately we called Croma and gave them the invoice no. 101289103. They gave us a number of Panasonic, where we got another number which no one responded. I called back Croma, they responded that I would receive a call from Panasonic, which never happened.

Finally at night I checked Panasonic Website where I found the Toll free no. The operator there assured me that the complaint will be attended within 24 hours. After waiting for 24 hours still no one came nor did I receive any call. So I called back and to my surprise the operator says that the earlier operator made a mistake and that it actually means 24 working hours. I pleaded with him that my stuff in the fridge will get damaged by that time. To this he assured me that someone would definitely come on Saturday 25/09. On Saturday evening again I called the Toll free no. where the operator gave me the number of the technician Mr. Harish (9892530957).

Mr. Harish assured me that he would look into my complaint immediately. At 8 pm I called Mr. Harish, again he assured me that a person is on his way from Khar and should reach soon. At that moment I was at Juhu Croma looking for a microwave oven, and again the sales guy told me that Panasonic is a better brand than Samsung and the service of Panasonic is better (I hope Samsung hears this).

Till 10 pm Saturday night no one came & Mr. Harish living upto Panasonic & Croma standards did not call & stopped taking my calls. Today, on Sunday it has been 4 days and I have given up on Panasonic & Croma and have finally called a local repair guy to attend the problem. My stuff which includes exotic vegetables from Himachal & Delhi worth about 9000/- is now damaged and useless.

It has been a harassing and depressing experience and I hope to send this message to as many people as possible through the internet domain.
