I had made a complaint regarding excessive noise coming from my Faber
Kitchen Chimney. I had purchased the product in 2008 and it is covered
under lifetime warranty scheme.(CARD no KOL 0838613)
On 04/10 I had entered into a cleaning contract with Faber (
application form No 012566)
After receiving my complaint for excessive noise technician came to my
house and remarked that the rotor needs to be replaced and he
suggested we log a fresh call for replacement of the rotor. The service
request number was 1210459551. After a few weeks we raised a call once
again to get the rotor replaced since it is covered in Lifetime
Warranty scheme.
This time the technician visited our house, inspected the product and
remarked that the rotor is in good shape and there is no need to be
replaced. He charged us Rs 300 as visit charges. The Service number is
1212512305.
As a customer I raise serious objections to the following facts
1. FABER technicians are giving contradictory statements regarding the
condition of the rotor which is not acceptable by us.
2. Further, Since the first technician recommended change of rotor we
raised a service call to get it replaced. And as per Owner's Manual
page 9 &-quot; Visits made by Faber technician for repair of the items
covered under warranty will be free " Hence there can not be any
ground for charging Rs 300 as visit charges, when the sole purpose of
the technician was to change the rotor as mentioned in Service request
1210459551
I had called Avon Marketing (phone number 033 2455 7164) seeking
clarification regarding the same and they promised to get back to me.
But Till now I have not received any calls. I have also mailed to Faber customer care but they have not responded to me till date.
I request you to immediately look into this issue and provide
justification for such unacceptable service delivery.
