Cheating by Idea Cellular executive

On 14th or 15th May my father received a phone call on his mobile 9311123332 from Idea cellular representative and they explained him a new plan from Idea, which included all local calls at 0.50 rupees and all calls beyond 80 Kms to be charged at Rs 1.40 and no extra costs apart from call charges. My father liked that plan and asked him to contact me on my phone No. 9350357211. The executive called me on my phone on 19th May, and explained me the same plan. I told them that we have already three Reliance mobiles; and this plan is much cheaper if you don’t have any hidden charges. I asked this thing many times but the executive told me that there are no extra charges and I have to pay only the call charges as he explained me. Also he told me to pay the service tax if my call charges would be more than Rs 100.00 and apart from that there would be no other hidden charges and they would instead offer me some free gifts also. Then I asked him to contact my father to collect the money regarding the purchase of new IDEA connection. On 23rd May an executive from ITBL company East Patel Nagar Delhi had come and he sold the connection to my father the connection with sim card was worth Rs 1294.00 wide their cash receipt. And letr on the number was provided with 9990011672.

On 29th May I bought a new GSM Mobile of Nokia worth Rs 4600.00 approximately since earlier I had three CDMA mobiles from Reliance. After the activation on 29th may there was a welcome call from Idea to explain my plan further. Then I was shocked and surprised that the plan that was being explained was completely different from the one explained by the executive of ITBL Company.

I launched a complaint to the call center and issued several complaint numbers regarding that by SMS on my mobile No. 9990011672. The complaint No. was 23202643 dated 05-06., 23399285, dated 05-06, and 23539405 07-06.

After the complaint the ITBL Company people talked to me and offered to change my plan, but I refused since I was being cheated initially.

Again the Idea people had contacted me on 6th June and I told them the full story of how ITBL Company cheated me. The executive apologized on behalf of the ITBL Company and offered me that in lieu of my clip charges and false information I would get the Mobile pack free for six months and after that I have to pay for that also since they cannot waive off the clip charges of one person. I agreed because I wanted some proof from Idea also about this cheating and get them notice about all these things.

After this I received the bill of May by SMS on my mobile, the bill was worth Rs 172 for 12 days. I asked the Idea customer care about his much of bill just for 12 days. They told me that they don’t have the details of my bill and whenever I would get the bill after that I should contact them.

Now when I got the bill of May on my e mail I was again surprised to see various charges that have been charged and were never explained to us before taking the connection and in the welcome call by IDEA.

1. The service tax of Rs 157.00 was charged, since I had paid the full amount of the connection in advance on 23rd May, The service tax and all other taxes should be included in that amount.

2. The charges for the hard copy of the bill was charged, since in reliance connection I always get the hard copy of the bill free of charge, and also I had never asked Idea people to give me hard copy of the bill. Also the hard copy bill charges have been deducted in advance for July month also without our concern.

3. The clip charges for 12 days were also charged. Since I earlier told them that I already had three reliance connections, even then the executive did not inform me that I would be charged the clip charges for the 12 days also. I could have waited for another 12 days also for getting the connection.

Now of and on Idea automated service reminds me of paying the bill, and I had talked to ITBL Company on 18th June, regarding the problem in my bill and about their wrong information. But there is no response till now. I also contacted Idea customer care on 22nd June at 10pm and told them about my bill problem and the answer was that “ if you will make further complaints then your 6 months free mobile pack would be taken back, and pay your bill by today” and they cut the call instantly by talking tome in vague manner.

So I was being cheated by ITBL Company and for giving false information and for giving me the mantle aggression and wastage of my precious time.

Now I want them to take their connection back and refund my money and they have to pay the compensation for the mantle disturbances and the wastage of time and providing the false information in lieu of increasing their business. I also conclude that the Idea cellular company has patronized this type of cheating since I suppose that many people like me have received the calls from Idea executives to convert from their existing mobile services to Idea. Is this the way of increasing the business? This is the clear case of cheating.

On 23rd June I got a computer generated call from Idea saying that if I would not pay the bill my services would be disconnected. After that I received the bill of July on my email and in that again they charged me again the the hard copy bill charges for August month also.

On 1st July my father was expired and after that we did not want to continue that connection since a lot of mental tension has been provided by IDEA cellular company to my father and myself.
