I m facing problem with i-Mate - Jasjar phone... n its very irritating... after paying 42k i m highly disappointed with the phone... I took it from Croma, Malad (W), Mumbai. After 4 months the battery started draining down within 8 hours... even if i don't use the phone the battery dies in 7 to 8 hours... I approached the shop (Croma, Malad) for the same problem for which they directed me to Kaizer Telecom in Crwaford Market, Mumbai, the sole distributor of imate phones in Mumbai. I gave them the phone on 8th August n they have still not been able to recitfy the problem... Facing a lot of problem... I stay like 30 Kms away from Crawford Market and have traveled there 4 times..
First time i visited them they told me its the battery problem and told me to collect the phone in a weeks time with a new battery... 2nd time i visited them to collect the phone. I checked it then n there with a i-mate battery charger..but the problem was not rectified... the moment i remove the charger cord from the mobile the LED indicating the charging still was glowing..they then told me to take it and since the battery is new, charge it for 8 hours and it will be working fine... Did the same, but the battery still was draining in 8 hours... Again visited them and gave it for rectification... this time the distributor told me that he will change the mother board and the battery again and asked me to come after two days..After 2 days I visited it was still not rectified... and I was again told to come next week...
Now is this the kind of gadget & service u get after paying Rs4??? I am highly disappointed n frustrated with this entire episode... I still have not got my phone back... Its been close to 2 months since I have given my phone... My colleagues who have also bought imate phones have faced some or the other problems with 2 months of their purchase of these phones...
Now, I either want a new replacement of the same phone or i want my money back... Kindly help me in sorting this issue... Rs.4 is not a small amount for a mobile phone n i don't want it to get wasted this way... Advice to everyone- "DON'T BUY IMATE PHONES" its a waste of money...
