Stock kept in store after Expiry Date

Today (13.04.10) evening my wife took a LMN drink from a store in Andheri which after taking 1-2 sips SHE noticed had an expiry date of some days back. It was mentioned "BEST BEFORE 4 MONTHS From MANUFACTURE". Is it Right to keep an Expiry product in stores? She has drank only 1 sip of it before noticing.
