This is Prince Victor from Chennai. I'm a customer of Godrej. I bought a Godrej Evan King size cot in the month of June for Rs. 8000 & odd. I used it for a year. Just 1 month after the warranty period is over (ie. july) the one of the legs of the cot got bent.
The tecnecian visited my place and gave a quotaion for Rs.3500. I didn't do the repair. My contention was, why should i send 40% of the product cost just after 1 year. The tecnician told that the model is having problems and the company has remodelled the legs. Why should i spend on this product just because its a failure model. If its a failure model, the company should not have sold it in the market in the first place.
I didnt repair it, now when they again visited they gave a performa invoice for Rs.5000 & odd to rectify the same problem.
I bought godrej, because of the brand image and my previous experiences. But this products has made me think again. I have a godrej EON refridgerator and a modular kitchen also.
Is the product worth only for a year? But the sales people spoke highly of the product when they sold it to me. Now they are asking for 60% of the product cost for repair. Is this the kind of quality Godrej stands for? I want you to look into this problem and solve the same.
