I have a serious complaint against Home Town Mumbai Vikhroli where we had this annoying experience.
On Saturday 10th April at about 6.30 pm me and my husband Mr. Sunildutt Madav went to Home Town Vikhroli with the intent of buying a wardrobe and a bed approximating Rs. 1, 80, 000 worth from Enrique bed set. We wanted to avail the announced ‘30% cash back scheme’ on ‘storage solutions’ articles.
In this context we wanted to redeem savings from ‘30% cash back scheme’ on the sofa cum bed which we wanted ‘Design and build’ section of Home Town to make for us. However our request was declined stating the condition that the scheme is valid on IN HOUSE BRANDS only. It was further shocking to know from Mr. Srivastav and Mr Vonod of this section that “THE PRODUCT PRODUCED BY DESIGN AND BUILD SECTION IS NOT CONSIDERED AS A HOME TOWN PRODUCT i.e. Not an IN HOUSE product”. Never the less when asked for the ‘Terms and Conditions’ of the ‘30% cash back scheme’; the people there were not able to produce the details e.g. a leaflet or pamphlet to us.
This was unbelievable and we asked the same statement in written form either on letter head or by e mail. Our this request was dodged by replying that the “Authority Boss” is not there to sign the letter and the so called email never reached us till date.
I sincerely feel that customers are taken for granted here and I will go one step further to say that the sale is fraudulent and customers are kept deliberately ill-informed to cash on their ignorance.
My genuine advice would be to keep away from such suckers and leeches who only believe in drilling the holes to pockets of poor customers and fill their own safes up to the brim.
We went there to spend about Rs. 1, 80, 000 and came out of the store without spending a single rupee and with lot of frustration; anger, dis-belief and what not.
