Hi,

We decided to use Massara Kitchen for our interiors. The products looked good when we visited them. They were different from the ordinary MDF material that is mostly used.

First of, the company is a one man show, the owner is an unprofessional foul mouthing person, who doesn't care what the customer wants. His only concern is to get the money out of customer. Once that is done, he disappears. When we finalized the design, he insisted on huge down payment which we made and then 100% before delivery. However he did not have the product ready on time and so we did not give the full amount. He came and did a half baked job and disappeared. After multiple rounds of follow up and since we had our housewarming, we gave him an ultimatum to fix the hob so that we can get the puja done. His people came on site and immediately he demanded balance payment. When I told him to come to the housewarming and I will give him, he did not say anything. Within five minutes his people disappeared and I did not notice as I was busy talking to some other people.

After that we had to run around and get it fixed with other people's help. Now half the drawers were not fixed properly, the sliders were pathetic, the doors don't close properly, the glass rattles and few baskets were missing. After another 3 weeks of follow up before moving in, he finally came and demanded money (this is the last 10% money that we are talking about). When I told him to complete the work, he created a big noise and started attracting a crowd asking his people to stop working etc. Finally after I gave him a cheque he finished fixing the trays. Still he did not fix the sliders properly, the gas pipe was left unconnected and the basket trays were missing.

That took another 3-4 months of follow up to fix. Even now we are suffering because of the poor quality of the sliders etc.

One more thing he did not give us a VAT bill after collecting 13.5% VAT on the amount. This also after multiple followup.

Bottomline: DON"T GO WITH THIS GUY!! You will regret the day you do.

Question: If the vendor has not provided VAT bill after multiple reminders, is it possible to do something about it? I have proof of payment and invoice.
