Dr. Deepak Raheja, director of The Hope Foundation, is guilty of admitting patients without sufficient cause. A man in his mid-50s was admitted to the facility, against his will, for the treatment of bipolar depression; he was kept in the facility for 5 months and only a week after his discharge, he was forcibly sent back to the center on his wife's request. He was not violent, but simply engaged in a domestic argument, expressing his displeasure at having spent so much time is incarceration against his will.
Disgruntled family members seem to be using the facility as a detention center.
