HDFC Click to Protect
Not getting response from HDFC

Hi,

I am Surender and requested for a term insurance in HDFC click2protect (proposal no 14926733) around 6th Feb. I am facing lot of issues from that time as mentioned below.

1. Customer Care is very poor and non-responsive. I called on the number listed on website and representative told me to call on another number for click2protect policy. In case there is a separate no for click2protect, it should be mentioned on the website. It doesn't feel good after holding call for 5 minutes you get this message.

2. Once I called customer care and after picking up the phone, she started talking to another person. I was able to hear their conversation for 5 minutes. Then I dropped the phone because no one was answering to my hello.

3. I sent my id proof and photo to online documents email but when I didn't receive any confirmation. When I called customer care 2-3 days after submitting the documents, I got a reply that they haven't received the document. So I have to send the document again. This happened 4-5 times when I have to send same document again and again.

4. Customer care never has the updated information. When I called them they always use to tell me old information.e.g. today I got a mail from them asking me to send scanned copy of my reports though it has been sent 10 days back and acknowledged by them through email. So their answer is never consistent.

5. I got my test done from one of the hospital which showed allevated sugar and cholestrol (as per representative as they haven't shared my reports). I got the same test done from the same hospital immediately when customer care told me about this. I got normal reports and shared with the HDFC. It happened 10-15 days back. They mentioned that they will discuss with underwriting team and get back to me but haven't received any reply regarding that. Instead I am getting other mails from HDFC asking me to send the scanned copy and pay the increased premium.

So after chasing HDFC for almost 3 months, I gave up and asking them to refund my premium though I want to get my insurance done.

I am writing this so that HDFC can take any action because this way they will loose their customer base.
