Premium debit for a closed account

I had a health policy with number 06710070, which has been lapsed in May and I didn’t renew the policy because of poor service by ICICIPro.

However, on 29th March, ICICIPro has debited my account with Rs.1837/- towards premium for the full year for the policy which has already been lapsed and closed roughly one year back without my permission.

Because of this I had to face a cheque bounce. When I called their customer care department, one executive named Nitin started giving me lecturer over the phone and shamelessly, he says it will take time to look into. But when ICICIPro debited my account, it didn't take any time. I want to proceed for a consumer case against these people, who make fun of the customers and extract money from customers like this. Supposing they charge like this to 1000 customers (To be on a conservative side), that means ICICIPro is trying to extract money amounting to about Rs.20 lacs to show the profitability of the organisation.

Even after writing to their e-mail IDs i.e. [email protected]; [email protected], their is no response. See how they are treating the customers.
