I had vey bad experience in newborn neonatal NICU of Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital, Nungambakkam, Chennai. My close friend's baby was misdiagnosed as larynegeal cleft, when problem was vascular ring. The baby was there for 25 days and all wrong things done and main problem missed. Many babies also got hospital infection. Some staff told me that very sick babies no longer get the excellent treatment / survival advantagee they used to get few years back, due to exit of many doctors. It seems all leading doctors have left the hospital, and hence the quality of care is very low now. Also, these facts were known to me only after admission. Why can't the doctor who sent the baby there know this?
Apollo is too costly for us, what to do? Any advice?
