In the month of June, I had requested for the cancellation of my broadband connection (number: 08041736542) as I was relocating to Mumbai. I was informed by the customer care that instead of cancellation I can get a relocation package, wherein, my connection will be transferred to Mumbai and the Bangalore number will cease to exist. The relocation was done in July 1st week and my new Mumbai number (02242646131) was installed along with the broadband connection.

However, I am still being charged for my Bangalore connection (although it should ideally not exist anymore) each month and money being debited from my bank account through ECS, along with being charged for the Mumbai connection. I am ending up paying for a connection and utility that I am not even using anymore. Till date I have lost close to Rs 5000.

On numerous occasions I have filed a complaint with the Airtel customer support and also followed up on the complaint, but each time they assure that this will not happen again and that I will be refunded for the incorrect charges. However, till date there has been no resolution from Airtel with my money still with them. They have charged me and debited my account in the month of August and October (copies of bank statement have record of it).

Below are the details of each complaint:

1st complaint Ref Number: 2812098. I was assured that I will receive the money by courier by Aug 31, 11:30 am, but have still not got it. On top of it, Aitrel went ahead and closed this complaint without any resolution.

2nd complaint Ref Number: 5364146. I was again assured that I will have a resolution by Oct 10, 5:30 pm. (spoken to Arvind & Rajlakshmi at Bangalore customer care), however I still did not hear back from them.

After waiting the entire day today, I once again called to follow up on my complaints and the people there were trying to dilly dally by giving me new rules and regulations that they did not inform me of at the time of relocating the number.

I would earnestly appeal to help me out here and let me know of ways, if any, to get this issue resolved.
