I had a really bad experience with Bigadda.com. I bought a head set from them on 9/22 (order number #100021019). I paid using my HDFC credit card. Money has been debited from my account. HDFC has approved the payment. Even after 24 hours of making the payment, Myaccount portal in Bigadda says "Pending process by ICICI". I sent a mail to the customer care, but no reply. I called them up couple of times. The first time they said it will take 24 to 48 hours for the process. I was confused. I regularly make purchases online using my card, never did any one said the credit card payment will take 48 hours for processing. The second time when i called the bigadda guys i got much stranger response. This time they said they want my bank statement, pan card and credit card xerox (front side) to be sent to their email address and after receiving the above documents they will process the order in 48 hours. I didn't understand the whole process. Credit card companies has started the verification process long back. I used "verified by visa" option and paid the amount. Why bigadda wants to verify again. My bank, visa was comfortable with my payment, but bigadda was not. I don't understand the reason.
Beileve me this is the worst experience i had. I asked for cancelling the order.. The reply was they still need the documents and they cannot return the amount. If bigadda is not comfortable with my payment, why the hell they want to take the money and not return it. Only knowing that bigadda is of "Reliance', i was really surprised. Reliance such a big corporate works like this??? I had a lot of respect for "reliance" but i lost all of it now. I decided to let go of my money and never trust Reliance.
