I bought my EVDO card and started availing services from October. The speed offered by BSNL states its up to 2.4mbps download, however, I merely get speed upto 300kbit/s (NOTE: I am currently in Pune and its a EVDO activated Zone - not a CDMA 1X zone). Whenever I ask for a clarification, they say users limit exceeded and say that they are planning for upgrade. No specific answer yet and the funniest thing is that I get full signal strength the place I live in.
Adding another issue to it, there are not online payment option available, and hence I have to tell my mother (in Bhopal - MP) to pay the bill, and it will be better if its online. So this month I got 3 month bill as a whole and that too on last day of payment. This is not at all tolerable, we are still customer, and there are some responsibilities on Service Provider as well.
It will be of great help so please raise on it to appropriate level.
